Greeting Card Business - Plan Your Holiday Calendar 2016

August 1st always catches me by surprise. I don't know why. It's not as if it doesn't come around about this time every year. Still, up until July 31, I tend to think of the year as still beginning. August 1st changes everything.

August 1st means that the holidays are fast approaching and it is a reminder that if I haven't prepared, I have precious little time to do so. Why? Because the end-of-the-year holidays are vital to the greeting card - and art print - business. It's what the entire first 3/4 of the year were prep for.

This year I am a little behind. Still, I am more ahead than I have ever been. I guess because in prior years I was focusing on three shops and product lines, and this year I pared everything down to one shop with one main product line.

If you run a greeting card business, you still have little time to prepare for the end-of-the-year push. Not much, but some. Below I am listing the major - and some not so much - (U.S.) l holidays that 2016 still has to offer.

Please mark these dates on your calendar, in your agenda, on your To Do List, whatever you use to keep yourself organized. And then start preparing for them.
