FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kat Mariaca Studio Announces the Release of its Refrigerator Magnet Line at the National Stationery Show 2017
Amherst, NH, May 1, 2017 - Kat Mariaca Studio, a greeting card, art print and gift design studio in Amherst, NH, is set to release its new line of refrigerator magnets at the National Stationery Show at the Jacob Javits Center, NYC, in May 2017. The Studio will be offering three of its collections - Postal Notes Greetings, Sage Street Greetings , and Let's Pretend Story Cards - at Booth 1863.
The 23 different refrigerator magnets, fun, funky and poignant, represent the first of the Studio's expansion into new territory. Kat Mariaca Studio was founded in 2016 by author and artist Katherine Mariaca-Sullivan after demand for art prints and greeting cards from her 2014 best-selling book, "The Complication of Sisters" demanded a full-time business. "I didn't set out to design cards and gift items," said Mariaca-Sullivan, " but so many people were asking me to turn some of the micro-stories from my book into art prints and cards that I decided it was time to either begin saying no or to give it the time and attention a new business venture deserves. I put my third novel on hold and decided to go for it. It snow-balled from there and I'm showing my three collections at NSS in order to move this business from b2c to wholesale."
Kat Mariaca Studio offers three unique and distinct collections. Postal Notes Greetings, the studio's all-occasions collection, is expanding into gift items including coffee mugs, pencils, notepads, and even refrigerator magnets. "I'm always hanging things on my fridge," said Mariaca-Sullivan, "and one day I looked at my refrigerator and realized that the magnets I was using were a hodge-podge of ugly. I had mechanics' business magnets, doctors' magnets, real estate magnets, you name it. I had turned my refrigerator into the yellow pages of service providers from my area. That's when I decided I could do better - I could design a line that would be fun, funky, even poignant, that would we worthy of the artwork and kids' report cards people showcase on their refrigerators, or that would uplift and inspire."
At NSS 2017, the Studio is releasing the first 23 of its refrigerator magnets. Nine of the magnets are from Mariaca-Sullivan's best-selling book, "The Complication of Sisters." The magnets in that line, "I Think of You Refrigerator Magnets", measure 2.5" x 3.5", are metal-faced, gloss-finished and offer a sleek wrapped profile. The other 14 are in the Studio's "Speak Your Mind Refrigerator Magnets" line, an off-shoot of the Postal Notes Greetings collection. Those magnets are slightly smaller, measuring 1.75" x 2.75", and are of the same solid construction as the larger magnets.
All three of the Kat Mariaca Studio collections can be viewed at the company's website, www.KatMariacaStudio.com. Stockists can apply there for access to the company's wholesale catalog and to learn about its wholesale program.
